Cincinnati Catholic Women brings a long history of service to the community that dates back to 1917
when members met in the basement of Good Samaritan Hospital to provide aid for the war effort. Since that time, the
organization has grown to a diverse membership of nearly 150 Christian women who wish to share in spiritual growth, personal
development, volunteerism, philanthropic endeavors and friendships through personal involvement in projects and activities
that benefit women and children in our community. In sharing our faith and talents through philanthropic endeavors and
personal involvement in projects and activities, we form lasting friendships and find individual fulfillment.
Cincinnati Catholic Women offer members a way to celebrate their religion, develop and nurture
friendships and give back to the community. Whether it’s through our monthly meetings held at area restaurants
(September-May) or through a multitude of community outreach efforts, interacting with an engaging speaker, spiritual
activities or fundraising events – we demonstrate our commitment to our faith and our community. CCW welcomes women of all
ages, from all walks of life, from both sides of the river to become a part of this growing organization. To accommodate
busy schedules, we offer flexible membership, although we do encourage members to be involved at some level, in the two
major fundraising activities and one other standing committee throughout the year.
Our home is located in North Avondale where we gather for our monthly card
party, committee meetings, sewing circle, book clubs, lectures and small special events and social
activities. We invite you to join us for a meeting and see if membership fills your individual needs.
You can contact Suzy at 891-1965 should you want more information on meetings.

In addition, scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to six local high school
students ($1,500 each) and two women who are retuning to school ($3,000 and $1,500). See
Scholarship section for more details.
Spiritual: As our faith is our common bond, we share
our spirituality through guest speakers, Mass, the Stations of the Cross, and prayers on a regular basis. In addition, we
invite guest speakers to our club for special discussions and presentations at our meetings.
Outreach: Our members connect to the community through a variety of outreach efforts. Whether
it’s collecting toiletries for local group homes, delivering Thanksgiving
dinners for the Gospel Mission, stuffing holiday stocking for the Salvation Army, crocheting blankets for Healing
Connections or tutoring at the St. Francis Seraph School, we all get involved.
Social: There is plenty of time to enjoy one another in a fun atmosphere. Whether
it’s a lively round of Bunko, a monthly bridge game, a book club or a special outing, there is always an opportunity
to mix an mingle with other members in a fun activity.
